Punch List
The list of minor corrective items remaining after substantial completion of a construction project.
What punch list actually means.
A punch list documents the remaining items required to fully complete a project after substantial completion — touch-up paint, minor finish corrections, equipment adjustments. Items on the list don't prevent the owner from using the space but must be completed before final payment. The list is generated jointly between owner and contractor (often with the architect or designer if applicable) at the substantial-completion walk-through.
