Construction Value
The total dollar value of a construction project as declared on the building permit, used to calculate permit fees.
What construction value actually means.
Construction value is the contractor's declared total cost of the work (labor + materials + overhead) submitted with the building permit application. Most NE Florida counties calculate permit fees as a function of construction value — Clay County charges $1 per $1,000 of construction value plus a $50 application fee. The value also triggers the $5,000 threshold for Notice of Commencement filing.
